NATIONAL HISTORY

Alpha Tau Omega's roots date back to the Civil War and the division in our country. In 1865, an 18-year-old cadet at Virginia Military Institute named Otis Allan Glazebrook organized a group of young men from both the Confederacy and the Union under their shared faith in God to found Alpha Tau Omega. This group of men helped unite those previously divided and create what would become one of the strongest national fraternities in America with over 234,000 members and 140 chapters on most major university campuses.

Meet The People Who Make It Happen

Without the endless work of these extraordinary people, the men of Alpha Tau Omega could not possibly accomplish all that they do. We are forever grateful for their endless dedication to our brothers!

PHILANTHROPY

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Last semester, Alpha Tau Omega members generated well over 500 hours of service to the community. Members are required to complete 15 hours of community service per semester. The fraternity creates and manages multiple fund-raising events for our local philanthropy, Payne County Youth Services. Some of these events include a haunted house, homecoming festivities, and our Signature Event, Gatorfest. ATO Epsilon Omicron Chapter has been recognized several times over the years as the outstanding community service chapter at OSU and within ATO nationally.

Each Fall, Epsilon Omicron puts on an event known as Fright Fest to support the Payne County Youth Services. The event consists of constructing a haunted house within our very own ATO Fraternity House. All of the actors are active ATO members using this fun outlet to make a difference.

We take pride in making everlasting impacts on the community. Contact us to learn more.

Each Spring, Epsilon Omicron puts on our Signature Event known as Gatorfest to support the Payne County Youth Services. The event consists of a field day where sororities compete in events such as bubble soccer or tug of war. A staple of Gatorfest is a live alligator that comes to the Chapter house for people to hold and take pictures with.

ATO is so grateful for the opportunity to give back to the Stillwater community. Through these events, we are able to help our signature philanthropy Payne County Youth Services. PCYS offers many services such as: Counseling, Suicide Prevention, Safe-Havens, Emergency Youth Shelter, etc. PCYS serves all communities of Payne County, Oklahoma, including Stillwater, Perkins, Cushing, Yale, etc.

*A large part of Gatorfest is the Banner Contest. All banners are hung on the exterior of the house for all of OSU to see
